It's Family Reunion Time!

I have a family reunion this weekend up in Idaho!  It is actually my favorite family reunion because it is located on a lovely lake and there are fun activities to do while hanging out and catching up with cousins.  For those of you that have been following me since the very very beginning, you may remember that the very first goal I had on this blog was to lose 8 lbs by my family reunion back in 2010.  I happily met that goal, and it was the start of a much more active lifestyle for me.
Zip-lines are awesome

Flash forward to this year and you know I've gained some weight back. I weighed in 5 weeks ago at 162.2 and wasn't very happy about that. This Saturday I weighed in at 155.4. I'm happy that the scale is moving downward. I'm even happier that I will weigh less at this family reunion than the last one! It's a small victory for me, but I'm very pleased with that. Somehow the idea of going to my reunion weighing more than I did two years ago was too demoralizing for me. I'm glad it's not going to happen!

I'm still clean eating and working out. It's kinda boring to blog about it daily, so I'll try to spare you that! In either case, I'm on track and feeling good about my results.
In non-workout related news, I went to The Amazing Spider-Man this weekend.  I actually really liked it!  I like the new actor as Spider-Man.  Plus, I love Emma Stone.  If you haven't seen it (and you're a fan of comic book movies) then I recommend taking a trip to your local theater.  It's good fun!

How was your weekend?

  1. Becky, your house is on the course in Rexburg?! Amazing. That is where I fell in love with running and my husband actually proposed to me in a potato field out there. It's such a small world :)

So congrats on doing so great with your weight loss. I know it can be so disheartening when you put weight back on and have to lose it again. Definitely enjoy the little victories like overall weighing less than two years ago.

  4. I didn't think I would but I kinda liked the Spiderman movie too. I was reluctant because I like Toby McGuire but the new guy was good.
