I've been trying to think of rewards to help celebrate the little victories along the way.  It is more difficult than I thought it might be.  I figure that after I reach my goal weight a nice beach vacation is in order (helloooooo, bikini body!).  But what about the little milestones?  10 lbs lost, 20 lbs lost, etc?

How do you reward yourself for the little stuff that adds up to the big stuff?


  1. I agree! I have a hard time coming up with them too!

    I read (I think on someones blog) that they reward them self a dollar for every pound lost.

    So, at like -20lbs, then get to spend $20 on whatever they want... kind of cool! But I think I want mind more specific, so I have something to look forward to.... like losing the weight isn't enough in itself! ;)

  2. I find it hard too! I can't treat myself to a mani & pedi, because I do that normally. I think it's about finding a particular item that motivates you. Right now, a pair of boots is hanging in front of me. And I mean that literally, I have printed them out and strategically placed them everywhere!!

  3. I rewarded myself with new clothes in smaller sizes. New gadgets are fun too (like a heart rate monitor).
